Created in 2024 for a senior portfolio class. For my piece on Imposter Syndrome, I found myself heavily relating to the idea of the superhero when researching the different ways people compensate for Imposter Syndrome. The lack of balance found in the superhero archetype reminded me of the balance found in the Justice card in the Major Arcana of the Tarot deck, which inspired me to make this piece. While designing it, I found myself drawn to the motif of flame and destruction. That is when the idea of the superhero syndrome causing cycles of burnout hit me, and I decided the title of the piece.
